Sorry, but to classify Washington and Jefferson as "dead presidents" is a bit irresponsible. Would we refer to Charles Lindburgh as a dead pilot? Paul Revere, a dead horse-back rider? Christopher Columbus, a dead sailor? Pocahantas, a dead Indian? Daniel Boone, a dead bear hunter? The Savior, a dead preacher? :( Of course not. These people deserve to be respected more than that. Young people need to know the risks and sacrifices that our Founding Fathers made, in order to create the greatest nation on earth. :) Now, saying that you don't like historical figures on coinage is perfectly understandable. That would be an opinion without the comment that could be misinterpreted. Look at it this way. Is Liberty a mythical Amazon fresh from a toga party? Is the Bald Eagle a feathered carrion-eating critter? Now, the other three guys on US coins probably fit nicely into that category. ;) (This is just my observation, and not meant to be personal or disrespectful towards anyone) :)
