2005 error dime

    I've got a 2005 d Roosevelt dime with some copper or something over the some of the liberty on it. Can some one explain and maybe give an idea if it has any value?

    Could be that someone tried a sample dip to see how it would come out.

    I don't think it is but I'm no expert.here is another picture. I found the dime in circulation also which doesn't mean anything.

    Could be plating issue. When I get home I will post a coin with a similar attribute.

    OK I can maybe explain.. Here is what I have. It's called a Defective Clad Layer. I look at your Dime and think it may be what you have.
    Value.. I don't know but if it is a true error $2 - $5 bucks IMO
