    It is PMD. Meaning post mint damage. The term covers everything that happens once the coin exits the minting chamber. The coin could have fallen on the floor inside the mint building and stepped on by a mint employee and it is still PMD.

    That sounds more like it, rather than being run over in a parking lot. It didn't look THAT damaged to me. Thank you for explaining that for me.
