How about backing away a little bit so I can see a larger part of the coin?

    Thanks @yartiques !

My only reason for asking for another photo was to see where the die chip was located on the coin. I'm sure you've heard the adage, "You can't see the forest for the trees." Well, we do have one person on these forums who insists on posting such extreme close-ups that you can't see the forest. It makes it easier for others to look for the same die chip.

I take it that you agree on "die chip". I have another TX quarter and that mark is not on there. I searched everywhere I could think of and couldn't find another one.
    Thanks for your help.

    Of course!

Die chips similar to this are relatively common. The devices are the recesses on the die, and where the die chip occurred on your coin is part of the field. The stress of continued strikes causes the edge of that recess to break away.

The only reason I asked for another photo is so that others who are new to collecting errors can view the die chip in its proper relation to the rest of the coin.
