    ...available for ~$40 on eBay and can go as low as $25-$30 at times on eBay.

    Make your own sample slabs or your own hoard as previously mentioned. :)

    Not that pricy. I think I paid $90 for it years ago, and it’s lower now. Like most modern stuff, out of sight, out of mind which results in drops in value. The big challenge might be finding one that is not shop worn and “dog eared.” I know the most “meows” and dogs don’t get along.

    Yes - it's a pity that many don't stop to take a good look at the designs and learn their significance. The keelboat was featured because it's the vessel that carried the Lewis & Clark expedition team (the Corps of Discovery) and all their supplies along the Missouri River. Without it, they could not have completed the journey. The keelboat therefore played a key role in the success of their expedition.
