Hey, I've been trying to figure out what's going on with this quarter. I'm not sure if it's just weathered or is it missing clad on both sides? I don't know. Tried doing some research but didn't get far. Any thoughts?
Thay usually occurs just on one side of a clad coin. Here are examples from my collection.. It could be either the Obverse or Reverse side -
ED for short. I would say ET but I don't want anyone to think I mean the movie star. Lol Yes it's environmental damage.
Clad and Nickels are made of Cupro-Nickel. The Copper is affected by the elements and harsh chemicals.
If only I had Paddyman's NGC filing fees for error and damage coins I'd have all three of those new metal detectors and some coffee money! LOL
I think you could cover a gymnasium floor with all the coins you have found or would it be a football field?
