I am sorry about the color of the photo, 2003 OBVERSE D....That coin is so shiny, if it was larger I could use it to shave....:nurse: Something going on I guess with my microscope. If I put just part of the coin under it's scope it is fine, but the whole coin, forget it...And it's only with the really shiny coins...??...And ways, I think it looks like a 2003 D but what do you guys think ? It shouldn't be that close to the edge...Any thoughts?

If you think they put the mint mark there, no, that does not happen, Im trying to understand what your asking, pictures of the whole coin would be better, maby from a cell phone, that is not a D.

It's a 2003 from Philadelphia. That so called D is a stain and there is s fingerprint in the motto. It's worth what it reads on the reverse, one cent.

The last year the Mint mark was hand punched into the die was 1989. It's not possible that what you see is a D Mint mark.

Maybe just a small plating issue. But it's not a D mint mark.
