    Hi guys,

I have this 2003 D Roosevelt Dime and would like to know what is happening with the surface of this dime and why there are indents, almost resembling swiss cheese, on both the Obverse and Reverse of this dime. Particularly to the left of Roosevelt's head. Can someone explain what this is please?

With only my imagination to go by, maybe struck through gritty machine oil?

I vote for strike through some debris as the devices aren't effected, or at least very little. If it was exposure to a chemical, I would think entire areas would show the same damage. OR . . . it could be covid. It's messed up so many things lately.
