It's a good thing that cameras are all pretty much digital these days. Otherwise, it would have cost you quite a bit to have these photos processed, and for what? PMD! Chris
The thing I don't understand is how Helen Keller face has the issue, but her clothes don't, you would think it would... Her face is also doubled ..
I see your is from Denver. My dad separates them by p's d's and s's although the s's are uncirculated. He found one with out a mint mark and I think it's 2002 all of the coins from 1999 and up have a mint mark its in great condition, but I was wondering how much it may be worth.
I found a state quarter, a few months ago, that was a struck through grease around the mint mark. It sold on eBay for a couple of dollars.
Those are definitely scrapes. Where the scrapes are on a coin have no rhyme or reason. I also don't see any doubling on the head.
Wow I can see what you mean it looks doubled. You should find a few more of the same quarter to compare it see if the others are not like that.
If was gem bu and flesh out of bank roll or mint bag..you would have better luck getting the Experts to Stop saying Post mint damage.
I'm hoping Mike Diamond stops by .. Error-Scope has a nice one in it, its a statehood quarter too ( Indiana ) not saying its the same, but its food for thought..
To me it looks like mint damage. It does not seem like post mint damage because of the doubled look on the back.
Heres one of the replies that it received somewhere else: Looks like strike after gouge, bulge of material above temple, combined with crossing illuminated highlight from strike, don't think it's a planchet flaw. MHO. You must of seen the one in Nov./Dec. of error scope.. Keep in mind, this is the only image I posted over there
