Hello. I just recieved in change, a 2002 Denver Mint state quarter. The Washington side is completely copper toned and the back seems to be clad. Also, the ridge around the coin seems to be completely copper toned. I scanned this coin on my printer scanner which isn't the greatest quality and really doesn't do this coin justice. I noticed on the scan that one of the I's in Indiana seem very faded to the point where you almost can't see it. The 'Indiana' is slightly faded but the scan kind of exagerates the fading in some of the lettering. From everything I've researched, this coin seems to be missing a clad and I could not find one Indiana state quarter out there that was like this. One expert article I found on the web stated that missing clads in the 2002 state quarters seemed to be fairly rare. Make sure to scroll down with you open the scans with adobe to see the coin in the pic. Any input would greatly be appreciated!
