Hi everyone, First, I should let you all know that I'm not a collector. I am actually a bartender and therefore get tons of coins every day. I was going through my quarter jar today looking for some state quarters that some kids had posted a request for in a local forum. I did find many of the quarters they were looking for, but noticed something odd about one of the coins. It is a 2002 Indiana state quarter. The reason it stood out was that where it is normally stamped 'D' or 'P', it looks like there is an error on the quarter. There is just a little raised nub of metal where the letter should be. Please excuse my ignorance, as I realize that this may be from someone trying to change the mint mark(?) is that a correct term? However, it really doesn't look like tampering but something that occurred when the coin was stamped. I did try to take a picture but my digital just couldn't get the coin clear enough to post a photo. I'm curious about it because I did many Google searches and couldn't find any errors even close to this. Also, since I'm not a collector, if someone would like to have it for a collection I would much rather pass it on rather than put it back in circulation. If you have any info, please post here or email me at sassybar@charter.net Thanks! Tonya
