Hey guys I ran into this while browsing through some rolls. Am I crazy or is there an S in between God & we??
That is called Paredolia. Not any kind of Mint Error. Circulation wear, hits can damage the field and make you see things.
What is crazy is that you have been wasting a lot of time looking for errors when you don't have a clear understanding of how dies and coins are made. Until you do, you're going to find a god-awful number of coins that may seem like errors but really aren't. ~ Chris
Listen to what this guy is telling you! Learn about the process and everything else will get much easier! We promise you!
Darn it! I accidentally got on this Etsy website somehow and thought I had went crazy. They had a lot of what I call parking lot coins on there for sale for 20,000 to over 50,000 I suppose they are hoping some nut case comes along and makes them a offer . This should be against the law for this to be going on.In case someone don't know what parking lot coins is , it where people pick them up that have been ran over by traffic and almost shredded.
To the Op , What you are referring to is a tiny die gouge. die gouges and scratches are common on state quarters.
