*I think* the op thinks he has a dropped letter proof ase guys. @usmc60 We need full clear pics of YOUR coin for perspective. Not one of our coins or mentally guessing what the coin looks like... WE NEED NON-MAGNIFIED PICS OF *YOUR* COIN or this thread is useless and we can't help you
Does the photo above meet your criteria or do you want something else. It gives you the locations of where the photos of the v and the grease are on the coin is that the perspective you need? Don't know out of the photos i provided and just went through the description again I know exactly what I'm looking at i don't need to see the whole coin the photos plainly show the rim of the coin. yes I made some mistakes in the listing I should have put the photo I just posted for Chris for those who were not sure where the rim of the coin is.
P.S if you can't tell from photo 2001-prf-006 that this is the rim of a proof Coin you write I may be on the wrong site.
Look at pics on other threads for rpm's. We need a cropped, full size pic of the side in question to see the "grease V" and how it relates to the full coin. Then, a pic with no higher than 10x mag on the area in question. You're using WAY too much mag. Your above pic is way too far out. Your zoom pics are way too magnified.
What? Is that a jab? I think you just might be on the wrong site then dude. We're only trying to help you and you're either just not listening or not understanding
You're not listening! You have the coin in-hand so it is easy for you to say we should be able to tell from your photo. Since I can't see the whole coin, I have no choice but to throw in the towel. I can't help you! Chris
I think you mean well, usmc. I really think you do. But either you are not communicating your question well, or we are not understanding what you are trying to say/ask well. It may be because you are not using the right terminology, or it may be because you do not know the right terminology. You seem to be very interested in errors, which is great. In the interest of improving your knowledge, and terminology, perhaps let me suggest a couple of books. These will help you understand minting processes, different types of errors, and the right terms to use. All 3 of these are good. If I were to pick only one to buy, Herbert's Guide is the best choice. Take a look. http://www.amazon.com/Official-Price-Guide-Errors-Edition/dp/0375722157 http://www.amazon.com/Cherrypickers..._UL160_SR116,160_&refRID=0EW103C52D2C55TGNC6C http://www.amazon.com/Error-Coin-Encyclopedia-Arnold-Margolis/dp/B0006EX9AS
Gentlemen there's no question being asked I thought you would like to see a nice Greece impression wind did I ask four anything I know you have probably seen a lot of Greece impressions but how many with the retain Greece that made that impression, take a chill pill guys and as far as the above statement goes my mama always told me if you don't have something nice to say about someone don't say nothing at all.
Did not ask any question I was just been a little informative to you guys thanks for your offer of help but not needed not ask for.
understand exactly what you're saying but I explain the coin a close up of the v in the rim and the grease that caused it. And there are other photos, and did I not say please enjoy the photos nowhere in my statement did I asked for help I don't understand why do you think I'd ask for help?
I think I'm picking up a little of what you are trying to say. I'm sure that you'll correct me. Are you saying that grease, collected in the V on the rim, fell out of the V onto the coin and was struck into the coin and is now laying on the surface of the coin?
I was replying to your comment that sounded like you were being rude by insinuating we can't tell what a 40x mag pic is of.
*We* need help because you are presenting whatever this is wrong so I was helping you to help us but whatever
