Not all are from his. My husband is in retail so some are from him. Walgreens. If you care to look back on posts you can. I am tired of getting ridiculed for everything I state. I have rolls of the Sanomas, Crossing the Delaware etc not from my father. The jfk 64s, 71s and 1882 dollar coins are from him. So excuse me if I stated some incorrectly. Naturally 2009 would not be with my dad’s. Some were and some were not. No reason for me to exaggerate anything. I don’t wish to sell or buy a coin only when my husband e changed for equal value at his store. So if I have to justify all, and if all are in my father’s or not, I need not to be here.
And you have been here since 2019 and did not even know if the edges. Trouble is what you seem to want to cause. “Missing date”… ? Not that I owe you an explanation but you are welcome to look at my threads.
Your father probably thought they were worth saving for you. Many of the Sac's tone differently and because of the alloy mix I would not clean them. I'll bet your father had nothing but good intentions. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. I am upset I cannot lie. Yes I do have some after 2001 and Presidents as well from my husband’s store. Not that I owe her an explanation but I have no reason in the world to say anything or post anything otherwise. I may not know a whole bunch but I sure did know about the dates on the edges. Oops! Thank you so much. Appreciate you and many others here. Not that I have to prove anything but I want to post my little golden coins. Thanks again.
All that matters is they are yours now so enjoy them. Thanks for sharing and hopefully you learned that it wasn’t a rise, it was an anti-tarnishing agent that didn’t work. I posted a photo earlier for you. Best wishes Pam.
Yes I did see it and it is appreciated. And that particular one I posted with the stains was from my dad’s. The others were dads and hubby’s store. Thanks again.
I think you did weigh in already. In #11. I felt all the coins in the photo were from a collection that stopped in 2001. I didn't know the sac not showing its date and mint mark was a coin out side of that collection. For it to have had the mint mark and date incused into the coins edge, it would have to be a 2009 or later minted coin. That was the issue i needed help with . Thank you....martha Edit since I read your latest and greatest. Maam you have obviously taken wrong something I said. To this point I have felt very highly of you. Still do. I can not imagine how I have wronged you, but apparently I have. And for that I would owe you and apology. I strongly Believe I have cast no criticisms your way.
And ya know. I was trying to look out for you. I believed you were contemporaneously going thru a collection that ended twenty years ago, and didn't know what you were looking at. Your posts led me to believe you had no prior interest in coins till you started going thru your Fathers collection. Under that belief, I didn't want you to overlook a keeper. No good deed goes unpunished I guess.
You are correct. I did not start looking at coins until I decided to go through dad’s. Yes I have posted dates past 2001 that I had and my husband began to bring me rolls as well as some dollar coins. Presidents etc. The stained coin I did get out of my dad’s as well as others but yes some are past 2001. My husband knew I liked the look of the “golden” coins. I do apologize for any rudeness I may have past on, but I guess I felt as though I was not trusted in a sense, if that even makes sense. I know you were looking out for me on the tip of the feathers and I thank you. At times posting coins I’m all over the place as many can tell you here. I do apologize as well. And I thank you for your reply.
