Can anyone tell me any info on this coin I've looked and can't find anything that has the lion on the back of it?

you can find many of these from third party companies out there that will buy a US Coin or paper bill, then add "something" to it to sell at a premium to the general public.

for instance, here they take a $1 or $2, colorize it and try to sell it for $12 or $14 or whatever. Of course, you can spend it for $1 or $2 as that is it's face value.

    Then you have colorized coins

    Hologram Coins

which are all sold at a premium above face value.
BUT they are only worth face value.

In your case, you have a
    • 2000 American Silver Eagle that is painted (FYI considered Damage)
    • and a hologram on the back (also considered Damaged).

luckily, since it's silver it's worth spot price if you can find a buyer, otherwise it's considered "cull". If you find someone that is interested in it "as-is" then you may be able to get more out of it.

here's other examples from the above website of painted American Silver Eagles. https://www.merrickmint.com/colorized-u-s-coins/american-silver-eagle.html

If that were my coin, I'd dump it in a bowl of acetone to see if I could get the paint off. Couldn't hurt!
