Can you guys please tell me a newbie what this stuff means Wide AM in america? I guess I would have to see the 2 together huh. Whats the other initals stand for? Nice Find, I have gone through a lot of pennies but never new to look for anything other than copper LOL.
Yes... The WAM is Wide AM in America and the others they are talking about is a CAM Close AM on the '92s.
I used to use a loupe, but became too frustrated with the lack of quality in my search as well as my pictures. Now I have a scope, and it has opened up pretty much a whole new world of searching for me. I can pick out the more minor varieties with ease, and photographing my finds produces better quality pictures.
I use a normal Nasco binocular scope. It is technically for use in a science lab, but it works fine. If you are on a tight budget, try getting a USB scope. Otherwise, check amscope.com.
e-bay has some USB scopes for about $40... Thats what i use and thats about the quality as well but im on a tight budget. Not bad for the price though!
