Back in 2000 I bought 10 Silver Panda,10 Silver Eagles, and 10 Silver Kookaburras for a gift set I planned on building to give for Christmas that year. Luckily for me I never got around to building the wooden gift sets so I still have the coins. Can anyone tell me why the Pandas are so high priced on FEEbay? Any info is very appreciated.
The collectibility of the coin far exceeds the melt value. Chinese pandas, Canadian maple leaf bullion, any pamp/credit Suisse or Johnson Matthey ingot bars all command a premium because people collect them for their artistry than silver investment.
