    Update

Well, one month into this studying thing and I am still alive. Just took my non-timed "practice test" last night...... scored a 55 on it. The good news is that the guy who I consider to be the smartest of the group also scored a 55. :D So I guess I didn't do that bad. Still have one month to fine tune. I think I mistakenly said last month that the test is 4 hours long.... well actually, you are allotted 5 hours, but it should hopefully only take 4 hours to complete. :( Toward the end of this month I will be taking the timed "practice" exam to give me a feel for the pace of things. I will get a better idea then of how much more I need to study.

On the numismatic front.... I still have been buying coins here and there. Finally acquired the 2001 First Flight $10 proof that I have been wanting for a while and the New Rochelle comm that I posted on here a few weeks ago. Also finally completed my PCGS slabbed SBA and IKE sets. It took me some time and searching, but I got all of them for decent prices and acceptable grades.

I will keep you guys and gals posted as things move along.

Joe , that Ike set must be sweet , I've always liked them but never considered putting a set together , maybe nows the time . Good luck on your test , I'm sure you'll do well . The trick is get a new pair of white Nikes , write the answers on them , just kidding .

Thanks Rusty and Mark for the comments and support. I just started on phase two of my study session this evening. BRUTAL! I already want to jump off a bridge. The first study practical that I completed was 100 questions - and it took me nearly a month!!!! This one is 400 questions. The last one is 100 timed questions and of course the 200 question final. Sometimes focusing is a problem, you see.... my coin desk is right behind me.... I am usually ok, but now that I have a bunch on new stuff, I just want to look at it all night. RESIST..... I MUST RESIST! :desk:

Wow....that's a lot of work for both the exam and the coins..I remember you telling me about the new sets you are going to work on...keep me up to date and them and your results of the test's...hope you do well Joe.

PS: who do you go to if you need help understanding something? Are you like in a class or is it a self-tutoring thing?

Maybe if you put them all away , or have your wife hide your new coins , then when you're done it'll be like an award for all the hard work .

Everything is self learn, but I am in an EP Lab everyday, so if I have any questions I just ask the doc. Many times I will answer the questions and then I will throw them at him to test him. He enjoys the info and the refreshers. We even found one question on the practice exam that was wrong. I am in the process of writing into the organization that writes the exam to let them know and see what they say. I don't want to have that question come up on the final and put down the wrong answer. Talk to you later.
