Both of these are extremely common, but quite popular coins. The 500 Francs is a solid, hefty silver coin. Yours appears to be a 63 or 64, with some secondary toning after a dip. I have owned several of these, but my current example is an MS-66 shown below.
I'd probably call your 50 francs a 64 with a chance at 65. This is a very popular and common coin, because it was saved in high grades and I don't think it was used very much. The 50 francs is widely available in 66 or 67, but gets quite tough in 68. My MS-68 example is shown below.
Wow, yours are gorgeous! Yes, they are quite common, with millions minted, and hoarded, but are extremely artistic designs. Since my wife was a FSO in Tangier, Morocco, before I met her, I am very interested in their coinage.
