I bid on it early on in the auction and didn't catch the copy comment because he used a different word I was aware of. From now on, I am translating the page completely. I was just looking at a Peace Dollar and translated the page and it said no guarantee was given, so although the coin does appear genuine, the pics are not good enough for me to tell %100, so I did not bid on it.

As to Germans bidding on valuble stuff, they are doing that but on American gold coins they bid the gold value mostly and not the coin value. I've actually gotten a couple of really good pieces by bidding a percentage of the coin value instead of a percentage of the gold value.

Looks like I was backerd's!

Part 2 is the bad deal and it looks like Part 1 is authentic. The seller of Part 1 says he took it to an expert and got it authenticated before putting it up for auction. I asked him to re-weigh it and am currently awaiting the results. Will post as soon as I know but it looks like Part 1 is "Deal" and Part 2 is "No Deal".

    Sweet!
