:thumb: What a deal! A '28 no less.
Outstanding! It looks to be in pretty good shape as well.
It has been folded but it is still nice!
Definitely worth more than two bucks.
What would you value it at?
I'm no expert on paper money, but I would expect to pay $12 to $15 for it.
When I saw the title I thought it was a newbie all exited over a common $2 from the bank. I was wrong, Nice find!
not over $5, more like $3
It's not nearly CU.
Cool! When I first joined my coin club, a fellow member paid the leader of the club who was talking to me a 1928 red seal $2 along with some other modern notes. After that, he sold me the bill for $2. Of course, It wasnt in the best shape and it had some writing on it.
Are you talking dealer price or what a collector would pay?
I actually had a cool find at my local credit union a few years ago. I go there and get $2s halves and dollar coins at times, and one time, I got a bunch of $2 bills that had some red seal 1963 $2s mixed in them, in perfect condition, and I wondered "Why the heck did none of the tellers or workers at the credit union keep these?!" I only took a certain ammount of money, and they had more $2s, and I could have got more to search, the next day, but never did work up a good enough uge to get my ass out of bed to go there, get more $2s and check for more reds. Now I deeply regret it. I sold one of the red seals to my brother, one to my 7 Eleven collector buddy, and one of my grandmas, all of who are interested in $2 bills and that kind of stuff. I sold them at face, because I sold them to a friend and family. And also, because when my brother finds things I want, in people's garbage and I offer him money for it, he declines and tells me I could just have it because he is not charging family for something he got for free. So we do things for each other. I had 12 of them, but now I only have 9. And I just bought plastic sleves for these red seals a few days ago.
So, in perfect condition, what approximately are these red seal $2 bills of mine worth?
according to the Freidberg book, in gem65 they will range from 20 to 125 depending on wether it is a star and whose signature is on the bill.
Separate names with a comma.
