My favorite is the five aureus piece Diocletian and Maximianus gave to big shots when they assumed their joint consulship in 287. It is not the largest gold piece in the group but the quadriga of elephants is pretty nice. </p><p><br /></p><p>I would be interested in hearing from any of you that have either of these books. Both are long out of print but show up used regularly.
