I visited a branch of my bank today that I haven't gotten any $2 bills from before. I had called them on Saturday inquiring about $2's, and they said to come in sometime today when the head teller who has them would be in. So, I did. In addition to the 19 they had gotten as deposits, they also had a new 50-pack they recently received. I asked if I could have those as well, and they said yes. So, I happily traded "normal" bills for the evil $2 bills. (I only call them "evil" because tellers seem to not like them). I didn't look at them until I got home. They are Series 2013, brand new and crisp, L12 San Francisco, CA. Nothing all that interesting there.... But the serial numbers caught my eye: 50 consecutive SN $2 bills! Which is cool in and of itself (at least as far as I'm concerned. The most consecutive I've ever gotten before today was 8). But the actual SN's are 09118051 thru 09118100. Do you think the 0911 (as in 09-11, September 11) would make them something a collector would want? Just curious. I'm not looking to sell them. I just got them! Also, since I have no idea: when a bank orders $2 bills, and they come in a wrapped pack of 50... are they always consecutive SN?
