I collected these back in 1986. No folds, creases, wear on any bill. Two sets of five consecutive serial numbers. Opinions?
It's cool that they are consecutive. Hold onto them- it's hard to find any crisp 1976 $2 notes today, let alone consecutive 1976 2 dollar bills. I have 3 consecutive 1976 2s that I found in circulation around 10 years ago.
Thanks Lego. My story obtaining these 10 notes... I was on a company softball team back in '86. Game ended and we went to the local watering hole. I bought first round and in the change came two $2 bills. They were obviously what appears today to be in as fine a condition as they were when issued. I asked the waitress if there were any more in the register? She said she'd check. Came back with eight more. Needless to say I took them all. Upon checking them out I saw two sets of five consecutive serial #'s. Threw them in an evelope 33 years ago, and there they sit.
I really like the old style $2 bill,s , i just wish i could tell you that there worth More then face.
Seriously, that assessment of them is no different than I expected. It's a whopping cost of $20 for a fair 'cool factor'.
There really unique in the fact that you dont see them that much in circulation There what the clerk puts under the drawer....LOL
lol, that's exactly where you'd find them in a cash register. No slot for them and you're bound to accidentally hand one out impostering another bill
