Apparently, you could bring them to your local post office, on the first day they were re-issued, and get them stamped with "April 13, 1976" and then have a stamp affixed to them? My guess is to keep as a memento, or collectible, of sorts.</p><p><br /></p><p>As for the '53, it's really rough, and heavily circulated, but I was stoked to get it, regardless. You rarely ever see notes that age, in circulation, anymore. Especially two's. If that note could talk, I'd bet it has some stories.
