(2) 1983P Nickels (Cud and possible cracks)

    Where do you see a cud @PamR ?

    The marks on the reverse from 12 o'clock through the dome of Monticello are gouges (PMD). If they were cracks on the die, they would be raised on the coin because coin metal would have flowed into the void on the die.

    All of this is damage... No die cracks, those are huge scratches. I don't see a cud anywhere either.

    Just a damaged coin. Die cracks would be raised, not incuse.
