    Hello Guys!:)

I'm happy I found this forum and I wonder if anyone has any idea what these two 1928 $100 dollar bills are worth?

I have uploaded detailed scans here : http://www.albacreative.se/dollar/dollar.html

You should be able to see all the folds and smudge marks. The first one (F00291471A) is way better looking.

Got them from my bank when they where out of 20s.

    Thanks in advance

They're payable in gold (atleast that's what it says on 1928 notes). In 1928 you could have gotten 5 Twenty Dollar gold coins for each one. If you could actually make the governement honor it's promise they should be worth about $12500 but sadly they are worth only a fraction of that.

Well with DI, the worst thing that could happen is Danny Glover showing up with them, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiXNUaSjXRY. :)

They'll throw you in jail. Sadly it's not "We the People" anymore it's "We the Wealthy Wall Street Bankers who Control Everything".

Bumping my thread. Would it be worth posting them on ebay or would it only give me face value?

After ebay fees, you may break even. Try the Buy/Sell/Trade here

    Hello Andreas,

They are listed at $175 in VF condition. Your first may get near this value with a little less on the 2nd. Your 2nd looks to be in about the same condition as the ebay auction you listed. Great snag for face value!

    Best Regards ~ Darryl

    Darryl,
:hail:Ha! Great news, from now on I'll only withdraw money in 100s! Thanks a lot for looking it up. It might be worth putting them up on ebay then!

After the ebay fees looks like you about broke even. :(

That said, $123 for old written-on, heavily folded, small edge torn $100 picked up at the bank for face value - not too bad!
