1ST Coin of the year..Herennius Etruscus

    Herennius Etruscus, Moesia Superior, Viminacium Ae26, 7.71g. 251 AD.
    Bare Head of Emperor right, obverse. City Goddess facing standing between bull and lion reverse. ref. Wildwinds, Moushmov 50
    According to sources, he was the 1st Roman Emperor to be killed in battle by enemies of Rome(Goths), falling before his father, Trajan Decius, who died later the same day. His mother was Herennia Estrucilla and older brother of Emperor Hostilian.
