The interesting thing is that many (most?) CRH enthusiasts overlook many of the better finds. A ‘60s Ddo or Ddr are normally more valuable than a pre-60s Jefferson. Most high grade 1982 Jefferson’s are more valuable. The thing is that the longer you CRH you learn more about the more valuable finds (and sometimes regret the ones you saw and let go back into the wild). I make this point because many novice CRH enthusiasts are stuck on “old” or “silver” when more valuable coins pass through their fingers consistently. Same is true in other denominations. That said - to each their own.
Ya, I'm sure I missed a few myself. Im very new at CRH. I'm at the point when I find a really nice coin. I keep it. So much to look for that I forget about other things I should be looking for.
The easiest one to look for is 1944 without the "P" mintmark. You can spot that right away. For the other years, it's a lot tougher. You'd have to know the various die markers and examine much more closely.
