The $5 coin had once been a rather grand sterling silver crown, large and beautiful, but in 1999 reduced to a smallish copper nickel version; the $10 coin had once been a large sterling silver crown of 35.0 gms. To a paltrey 12.0 gms. Sterling with a gold plated edge.</p><p><br /></p><p>To review I can not find any 1999 currency coins above 25c, and no mintages found. The 50c and larger coins I have only seen in what appears to be the rare BU set (50c and one dollar) and the proof set. </p><p><br /></p><p>The $5 and $10 coins only in the proof set. There is no Mintage documented that I could find of the BU sets and a maximum of 3,000 minted of the proof sets - I suspect MANY fewer than this were actually released if ever struck. </p><p><br /></p><p>Going back to the BU sets - I have only recalled seeing one in the last 20 or so years, and the main local dealer - “TT Collector” on Facebook and ??Ig has not seemed to have these in the last 5 or so that I could determine.&nbsp; To digress, I’m not sure just how constant he is and am not especially recommended him along with the fact that he is resistant to Intntl.
