CaptainMac Gotta Love Those Errors and Varieties!

    Hey guys,

So I had an interesting coin come up while searching some rolls. A 1999 S penny was in one of the rolls, which I was not expecting to find in circulation, but it also shows some doubling through "IN GOD WE TRUST." I should know by now, but I am going with this being MD instead of true doubling, and I just wanted to get confirmation on that? I mainly notice it in "GOD," but I think it's still all the same. Sorry certain pictures are less clear than others.

    Thanks for looking!

EDIT: Didn't realize I never specified it was a penny in the thread title, so sorry for any confusion there.

Thanks! The coins is not in great condition so I didn't think it was necessary, otherwise I would. If it were an actual DD than I would as well. Back to the hunt!

You always want to post the coin full image... you might think “God” is where the error is but to others with more knowledge might see something else that you don’t! Good luck hunting!!!
