    RIP Abe.
Spend it before it rots away. Now that the zinc core is exposed, it's only a matter of time.

    How much is it worth?

1 cent. Until it disintegrates. Then it's worth nothing.

Spend it while you can. Welcome to CT.

Hi Charles - Welcome to CT!! I unfortunately make these in my clothes washer when the cent gets trapped between the fixed and rotating drum. One side stays pretty good...the other wears away. As your fellow enthusiasts note, once the copper plating is compromised, the zinc will react freely with the environment and eventually...disappear. Time to spend it, before it vanishes (in a few years).
