Hey guys, I came across this penny CRH. My question to you all is. Could I have a clad error penny. Attached are the images of the coin. Thanks in advance!

The US Cent is not Clad. Clad coins are Quarters, Dimes and Half Dollars.

Your Cent is a Copper Plated Zinc Planchet with natural toning.

@paddyman98 beat me to it. Only the 10-cent and higher denominations are considered clad coins. The cents are plated. That coin has normal oxidation/toning due to environmental factors.

Hey, don't beat the poor guy to death over a simple error in nomenclature.

It's made of zinc with a thin layer of copper to coat it. Zinc is a terrible coin to mint coins with. Your coin is normal.

I try to read them everyday and have posted a couple " what were you thinking " and "learn from this post" and have always got honest answers and good advice. Thanks.
