    Hello,

I came across this Washington Quarter while Coin Roll Hunting. Would this be called a Die Crack where it comes out from the 1?

Yes, it most certainly is a die crack.

Nice little Die Crack. The Crack occured on the Die Itself between the number 1 and the base of the neck. When it struck the blank planchet the metal entered or flowed into the crack. That's why it looks raised.
Some people think it's added metal or that the planchet became cracked. Both those assumptions are incorrect.
