The scratches on the 98 look bad.

Nice finds, they look like they struck well too which doesn't seem to be common among the quarters i find in circulation.

Fun finds...makes you wonder where they were living for the last 25 years or so.

Thanks. My phone doesnt always to seem to take picures very well. I think with the shininess of the quarter and 2x2 helped a bit

Yes, I wonder. Do you think the 1997 is maybe a ms60?

I think I see some surface abrasions on both coins, so they were in circulation for a short while. Still fine specimens for a circulation set!! On my circulation sets, I keep trading coins out when I find better. Those two would take a long while to find better in circulation unless you CRH a bit.

They are well struck and look much better than what is being made today.
