There are several reasons why it could have gone unnoticed. The modern dime isn't as collectable and people are not looking for the varieties like they do for pennies, nickels and quarters. The details are so small and fine that it is easily over-looked, besides that it's the same design and not much has been done with the design to spark the collectors interest. The penny, nickel and quarter have had many facelifts and has added a spark for the collectability and variety hunting of newer age American coinage. I know there are others that hate looking through dimes and that very rarely RH through dimes likeamyself. Even though I look at all denomination pocket change the typical collector probably does not.[/QUOTE]
