1997 Norge 50 Øre: Artificial Toning?

    Just concerned. This, and a bunch of other coins, were a gift. What happened here? Potato ride through the oven?

    That toning is not consistent with patterns normally associated with traditional coin storage methods.

    This coin is a copper coin. The "toning" come from heating up the coin.
