    doug444 STAMPS and POSTCARDS too!

    Just one image, of a sample page. The print is so small, and the paper so glossy, it makes for poor images anyhow. The 79 8½ x 11 pages are mint, but the binding is totally falling apart, and there are loose pages, but none missing that I can tell; this catalog was not meant to last 18 years! It is a fine piece of scholarship, however.

    Mostly in English, a few paragraphs of Russian here and there. Very few photographs. No prices realized. Shipped only in the United States.

    The auction is the 16th annual George Frederick Kolbe auction, December 1997, 375 lots;
    Lots 1-135 | The Hermes Russian Library & Johnson Masonic Library
    Lots 136-224 | Ancient Numismatics, Archaeology, Antiquities
    Lots 225-332 | Medieval & Modern Numismatics
    Lots 333-375 | U.S. Numismatics

    Remember, this is all reference books and catalogs, no coins. The value of this catalog is its detailed and accurate descriptions of hundreds of books, so that you will know what's out there, and how to specify and find your own copy.

    Price $10 postpaid. I did NOT want to throw it away in my housecleaning frenzy, but it's of no use to me, and belongs in one of you serious collectors' libraries.
