1996D MD or DD

    Here are the pictures. I believe there is double in the column with the arrows pointing at it. Opinions?

    this is normal for some cent coins to look this way.

    Well I was thinking it might be 1996D DDR-001 according to this site

    no the doubled die they are talking about is a very minor one and in my opinion not worth keeping. on the real doubled die there is a tiny raised section on the pillar right beside of Lincoln . what you have pointed out with the arrows is a common occurance on our cent coins.look at some more of your coins and you should be able to find many more like this one.

    Is there a site that lists that kind of stuff for different denominations?
