Thank you Jester! It's nice to be alive again. The original rumor started from a misunderstanding. When my partner, Joe Rust committed suicide, he took half of me with him. It put me in a very dark place for several years. He was my best friend and partner in business and music.
There's no minimum thread count to post photos... and as long as you don't indicate the coins are for sale, there should be no problem posting on any thread. I don't understand why you were blocked.
No, you need to make ten posts before you're allowed to post attachments according to our moderator. I finally got some posted in the Auction section. It allowed me to post pics on two posts, but I couldn't finish the rest of them. I'll try to re-boot my computer and try again to get the other two photos on there. The computer is brand new, state of the art, so I don't think the problem is on my end. Maybe I've already used up my maximum for the day or something.
Many, many threads are started by new members who post photos on their initial post. The ten post rule applies to the auction forum only, unless something has changed. Anyway, I looked at your photos, they're excellent. I see no reason why you couldn't post them in a forum where members could discuss them.
No, you misunderstood. You have to make 10 posts before you are allowed to post at all in the advertising sections. But you can post pics at any time, even on your first post. That's because there is a 5 picture limit in any single post - anywhere on the forum. And sometimes, the software can be kind of glitchy when it comes to posting pics, even for me. But you obviously got done what you wanted to do. And you should read the comments I posted in your thread there, just so you have a better understanding of our rules on the forum. As for posting pics of your work in the regular sections of the forum, by all means please do. Our rules are pretty straightforward and easy to understand, read them. But if you have questions, just ask them. You'll get an answer.
Thanks for the clarification. I think I got it now. The ad sections have different rules than the other forums. Sorry for my misunderstanding, and thank you again for bending the rules and accommodating the photos in the auction section.
No problem at all I kind of did it because with those items, you really can't show what you needed to show with just 5 pics.
Ron, Glad to hear you're still with us. I've been a collector of your stuff since the beginning - have the 1796 mint set, earlier coppers in bu and some hobos, but missed most of the later issues. Now that eBay doesn't allow copies, my main source dried up. Question for all: Know of any good sources for GMM stuff? Question for Ron: Any future plans for more?
