    Can anyone tell me what finish is on this penny? The date and letters seem wide and some doubling? The picture looks blurry but it's the way the coin looks. 20230320_180239.jpg 20230320_175549.jpg

    You have a Stinkin' Zincoln that may have been left in pickle juice, or some other acidic liquid. Spend it before it completely disappears.
    Please remember, that in the middle of 1982, the mint switched from making mostly copper cents, to using zinc coins coated in a thin layer of copper. That thin layer can cause all sorts of anomalies and NONE are errors, just damage to a badly minted coin.
