There is noticeable fading on the date and on some of the letters on the obverse. On the reverse it looks like die Trails? The fg is also weirdly stamped. Any thoughts ?
Filled die for sure. Is it a copper cent or a Zincoln? How much does it weigh? Where did you find it? Give us some back story. Reed
I actually was given this as Change from Dunkin Donuts. I believe it was out of a bank roll as I saw her break the roll. I often find great error coins this way.
You're welcome. I have relatives who work at Dunkin Donuts. The other day a Woman came in and paid with 1927-1936 quarters dimes and nickels.. Wish I was the one to take that order
One of the Standing Liberty quarters was damn nice probably vf or higher fully visible dates .. the Mercury dime was a beauty too.
Weight isn't a factor for this type of error. It will weigh 2.5 grams, give or take a tenth of a gram or so.
Found this today, change back from a coffee at Cumberland Farms. Was only interested in the possible GFD , now that I look again, I notice some odd features. Haven't even looked at the reverse yet. The first picture, what's the on the right of the 'L' in Liberty? Or am I making up images in my mind again Notice how the whole dime is slightly off-center 2004 D
