I came across this 1996 penny and it's green. My USB coin microscope fell off the table so forgive the picture quality. It was done with my phone. The coin is brighter than the pictures show. It weighs 2.8 grams like the rest. Is this the beginning stages of it turning a rainbow color? Any thoughts?
Pictures look fine...and smart move to contrast what you've found with what we normally see. Play around with your phone's camera. You might find that for some shots, you prefer to use it over the microscope.
Nice natural toning. It's a Zincoln, it will change even more if you don't seal it. Keep it far away from the elements, it's a beaut.
