I found this coin months ago and I think it could be an error.. it doesn't have a ridge especially on the front, not so much on the back though. Any info guys??

It didn't come from the dies in that condition.
An explanation of how it was worn like that is impossible.

So it's just worn? hehe I thought it was a "coin error" that could be worth thousands of dollars! :)
    Thanks for the reply!! ;)

You haven't lost anything. It's still worth ten cents.

That type of wear wouldn't occur naturally in circulation. It looks to me like someone caused this.....PMD!

Chris, I'm going to tell you that I, Andrew B. promise that I never ruined this dime.
lol! :) I really don't think it was possible that someone could of scraped the ridge off, there is NO scrape marks ANYWHERE on the ridge, it is REALLY smooth on the ridge. But I'm sure that you're right.....

I didn't see Chris blaming you for the damage to your coin.
It's damage, impossible to tell how, but damaged none the less. Maybe it was ground down and then polished. It's not impossible for someone to inflict damage like that, but I guarantee you that it didn't come out of the dies like that.

Kinda looks like dryer damage to me?

Please explain to me how continuous, random hits in a dryer produce such even wear on the outer edge only?
