Maybe they could be thinking they're getting a deal at $3200 but aren't figuring in the buyers premium or maybe they're going by price guides and aren't check eBay and other actual sales.
You know, that's actually an interesting thought. That raises a two questions: - How well does dipping remove milk spots on ASEs? - To my knowledge, ASEs aren't something that are typically dipped. How obvious would the effect of dipping an ASE be?
I meant that mostly as a joke. I think the consensus opinion here is that dipping won't help, although I ordered a run-of-the-mill proof coin of Eunice Shriver and found a couple of white spots that I successfully removed using dip.
Dip it like an Oreo cookie? Maybe before they slabbed it the grader, while eating breakfast cereal actually did drop milk spots on it and simply graded it that way? hmm .. I actually have a 96 ASE in the raw in my collection. instead of calling her a Walking Liberty, call her Walking Snow White for more rarity !!
Well, to be fair, my MS70 2016 silver eagle from PCGS developed 2 big milk spots and they have a slight yellowish haze. So snow white sounds better.
