My wife found this penny amongst change several years ago. 1995D Lincoln cent with absolutely no sign of copper...looks to be purely zinc. No sign of copper along the edges, in the initials VDB, or anywhere. Nothing to indicate tampering.

It has little wear or discoloration, mostly just bag marks. The strike is weak on the reverse from around the "of" down to the top right of the Lincoln Memorial and the hair is flat looking. The coin has a dull appearance, not surprising as I doubt they'd polish zinc.

What are your thoughts on its genuineness and value? Thanks!

Yep, looks like it's missing its copper plating. Very collectable but I don't know the value.

It may be a cent struck on an unplated planchet. But these errors are notoriously difficult to authenticate, especially from a photo. What you want to see is original mint luster, an absence of microcopic bumps, and a weight that is slightly below normal.

Hello Zaida. Generally-speaking pennies with no copper and multiple errors are way more valuable than pennies with no copper and non-multiple errors except for 1943 steel pennies which didn't have no copper anyway.
