I have three 1955 wheat pennies, but I notice one of them looked different. Can anyone tell me why? Please. First post. Thank you for your time.

The pennie to the right. Is the one I think, Looks strange.

Obviously not. Can you see them? I just wanted to know. Why one looks much different than the others. Was it damage? Or in a dryer? Ran over? Water damage?

Yes, much better. I only see circulated coins. It's most likely damage.

The damage could be anything. You can use your imagination.

Yes, I see what you are talking about. It's a minor anomaly in the strike of the coin or die anomaly. I don't know the official name of it, others here will know. From where I sit, it's a normal circulated 55 wheat cent. Nothing significant, sorry.

    Welcome to Coin Talk.
Welcome to Coin Talk. The 1st one looks like it was struck with a very worn die. That would cause what is called a ridge ring around the inside of the edge and die deterioration doubling on the last 5 of the date. The other 2 look like common circulated cents.
On the latest images you posted the worn die would refer to the 2nd, 3rd and 5th photos.

No problem. Put it in a 2x2 flip and keep it.

The 1st coin was definitely struck by a very worn die as evidenced by the ridge ring. The 2nd coin struck by a die getting close to being very worn as you can see the beginning of die deterioration doubling on the tops of the letters. (Just my opinion). On this site scroll down to the 1955 Lincoln cent. You can see the last 5 of the date is exactly like your coin: https://www.lincolncentforum.com/die-deterioration-doubling-ddd/
