I see plating split doubling or whatever they call it at the date, and other plating issues elsewhere.
That's not a Doubled Die variety. It's Die Deterioration Doubling. Common issue on many copper plated zinc planchets. Considered worthless doubling. FYI, the correct Numismatic terminology is actually Doubled Die, not double die. See how it's printed on this cover of Coin World magazine.
Appreciate the replies. I thought something was up due to the amount of doubling I was seeing. I’ll put it away tor comparison in the future
