I have bought some books and a microscope to help me I am kind of stuck on what is truly a double die but I have recently discovered this coin and was wounder if you all can help with any thing

Since this is a Zincoln (Zinc Lincoln), what you are seeing is probably a plating blister. These ***** coins are the worst!!! If it were a copper cent, I would call it a die chip (part of the die chipped off causing this feature). Interesting, but don't give up your day job. :) Welcome to CoinTalk...kick your shoes off and stay awhile.

    Hello and welcome to CoinTalk
The correct Numismatic terminology is actually Doubled Die and it is considered a Mint Variety

Here is a website to help you - http://doubleddie.com/58222.html

and here is a great Mint Error website - http://www.error-ref.com/

For US coins in gereral, get "A Guidebook of United States Coins" (referred to as the Redbook). Best $12-15 you'll ever spend on the hobby. I'm partial to books, but if you're interested in error coins, the sites @paddyman98 linked along with http://www.varietyvista.com/ are good resources.
