1994 Penny Error

    I got this 1994 penny and it looks like it was double struck. is this what you see? Thank you in advance for your help.

    It is a ridge ring.

    Most likely from die deterioration. For cases where the ring is around the entire circumference, Mike Diamond's article in Coin World maintains the cause is uncertain. (Feb 17, 2014 Page 66)

    Ridge ring is caused because of an extremely worn die strike.. Not double struck.. Not a mint error.

    Pete Can you help me with this on. It looks like a line in the edge and stops just before In god we trust. I uploaded another 1977 coin for your vies
